Edward going for a ride in his car, the 1982 Honda Civic wagon Chad bought
for us all to tool around in. We figured on keeping that car a few months,
but it ended up lasting us over a year and a half.
|

Edward really was not crazy about dirt at all in October of 1998. This did
not last -- now he is a tremendous fan of dirt. But, this day in October,
he needed Chad to protect him from the evil sand.

Swinging Edward! If you look at Chad's feet, you'll notice that Chad is not
afraid of dirt.

Edward was happier at the park with socks on to protect his feet from the
evil dirt, and sitting on the bouncy concrete stuff.

He had his big water bottle, and his keyboard, which he really appreciated
being able to use.

Time was when an empty carboard box and a stroller presented enough of an
obstacle to Edward that he couldn't escape my desk!

Edward in the old living room window in Santa Clara. We didn't have a back
yard then, just a small patio that was all concrete, and there wasn't
usually much to see in the patio, unlike now, where Edward has a whole back
yard and a front yard, and there's always stuff to see looking out the
front windows.
