Here are pictures from February of 1999, while we were moving to Sunnyvale. Of course, this month's big event was Edward's First Birthday! Including, of course, the incredible cake and ice cream mess!

This is while we were getting moved in to the new house in Sunnyvale. We like the new house a lot better, and the new neighborhood too.

One of the things we liked the most about this house, and the big reason we moved, was that there was a lot more room for Edward to run around in. We were inspired by Edward's big cousin Quilla and the way she can do laps around her house.

One of the important things about this picture, and the one just above, is that Edward is wearing his first real pair of shoes. He wasn't crazy about this whole shoe business at first, so what we did was go to the shoe store, and Edward picked out some shoes that he liked, and he got to try them on and walk around the store with them, and look at his feet in the mirror and fun stuff like that. Ever since then he's been much more into shoes. These shoes are too small for him now, though, and he's moved on to other shoes.

What with running around all the time, sometimes it's hard to get good pictures of him. He's not a huge fan of sitting still.

Sometimes Edward sits still, though. Usually it's because he's got something interesting to do, like talk on the phone.

Edward is talking on the phone, and right next to the phone, Mr. Poison Snax is keeping Edward company. Mr. Poison Snax is one of Edward's biggest fans. Before Edward was born, he used to follow Edward's mom to work so he could hang out with Edward more.

This is Edward's cat, Shaushka.
