Among other things, in May of 1999 Edward's grandpa Paul came to visit.
Edward is named after both his grandfathers -- my father is Ed, and Chad's
father is Paul, and Edward is Edward Paul Tudor.
This is the May 2000 revision of this photo page, which includes photos which aren't in the old version, but I haven't gotten all the text from the old version into the new one yet, and so on, so it might still be of interest!

We had been to the Sunnyvale Farmer's Market, and there had been a guy there playing the guitar, and Edward had really enjoyed it, and done a lot of dancing. Now, me being an erstwhile guitarist, you understand, I found that while I was there watching Edward dance to this other guy's playing, that thing happened that guitarists are all hopelessly prone to -- saying, "Man, he ain't all that! Geeeze, I oughta have this gig..." |

So, we got me some new strings and the Tudors all talked me into playing a little bit of guitar while Chad was grilling food for us to eat. You know how many guitar players it takes to change a light bulb, right? Well, in case you don't, the answer is, it takes eleven: one to do it, and ten more to stand around saying, "He ain't all that. I can do that." |

Chad showing Edward my guitar. Edward is very into the guitar. Most of the time the guitar lives in our bedroom closet, and Edward likes to come in while I'm putting away clothes and try to play it. Sometimes, I bring it out and play it. I probably ought to play it more, but somehow I seem to keep failing to find the time, even though Edward is a terrific audience. |

This is Edward at the Farmer's Market, with strawberries. Poor Chad can't have strawberries, he's allergic to them. But Paul and I, with Edward's help, got to have lots of strawberries that day. |
