This is the May 2000 revision of this web page. You can get at the old one
here. Related to this page, have a gander at
our page about
setting up our 50-gallon reef tank, which we did in August of 1999.
This is Chad and Edward by the fountain that's in front of the Stanford bookstore.
You'll notice, if you look close, that Edward has on his nifty blue sneakers.
Edward loves his daddy very much, and likes to give him hugs every chance he gets.
This is Edward's dining room. It has two fishtanks in it, with lots of fish in them.
Edward likes to climb up on chairs and stand on them so he can get at the table. For a while he was naughty and used to try to climb on the table, but now he's being much less naughty about that.
Edward still really likes to hide in the bookcase.
There are some nice things about bookcases. One of the nice things is that if you put your books away in the bookcase, you always know where they are so that you can find your books when you want them. And they stay in good shape in the bookcase. It's important to take care of your books. And since Edward loves his books, he's learning to take care of them.
Also, if the books aren't all over the floor, it's much easier to get into the bookcase to hide.
And not only that, but you fit in better when you don't have to sit on the books, and the books don't get hurt by being stepped on or sat on.
Besides, the doors close much better with no books in the way.
See? When you want to read the books, they are all right there for you.
It's okay to have books out when you're reading them, of course.
Sometimes Edward doesn't like to wear pants. It's important to wear pants when you go out, but it can be okay to take your pants off and run around in your own house with your family.
Edward has lots of Legos. Actually most of them are Duplos, but those are Legos too. In this picture, Edward is sitting in front of the Red Line, which he got for Christmas, and he's putting a dinosaur lego onto a Lego car so it can vroom around on wheels.
Legos are terrific.
Edward likes to read books.
He also likes to run around a lot.
When he's outside, he can chase his shadow.
Edward has some fun stuff to play with!
This is the front door of Edward's house.
This is Edward's living room.
Edward has a Cookie Monster chair.
Edward is reading the Teeny Tiny Farm book. He loves this book a lot.
In fact, he read this book so much it wore out and fell apart! It probably would have lasted longer if we'd kept it on the bookshelf more. It got stepped on and that hurt the book.
He also really likes the This Little Piggy book.
Edward is helping put together a canopy for the fish tank.
When there's stuff going on like that, it's hard to take a nap, and Edward doesn't like naps anyway, even if he's tired, like he is in this picture.
Edward has tools of his own, and he likes to help his parents with their tools if he gets a chance. He's putting his nail away with his parents' tools in this picture.
Edward is in his jammies and ready to start thinking about bed. Chad is sitting outside, but it's almost time to say Back to bed, Edward!
Edward's mom stayed up past her bedtime writing all this stuff, and so now she's going to be in big trouble because she'll be tired. Yuck. No fun. Bad Abby! Go to bed!
