Probably the most notable thing about September is the haircut. Here is the old September 1999 page, but it's not much different from this one, really.

This is Edward, who is sitting in the kitchen in his high chair waiting to get his first haircut.

You can see that his hair was long, and curly at the ends and in the back. It was very pretty hair.

But, when Edward's hair wasn't neatly brushed, which would be the case about 5 minutes after it had just gotten brushed, it tended to get in his face a lot and he couldn't see, and it was hot, and he didn't like it very much anymore.

Very pretty hair, though.

Hooo boy! Look at that! A whole new kid!

Edward has cowlicks on the back of his head.

And, when you get a haircut, you usually need to take a bath or shower afterwards because hair can get all over the place.

Hi short-haired boy!

This is Edward in his Elmo jammies getting ready to go to bed.

And the next morning, he got to have a great big plate of watermelon for breakfast!

Edward likes watermelon a lot.

Mmmmm, watermelon. Yum!

Edward's ready to really tackle his whole new day, with short hair.
