21:26Gee it's bright in here:
Yesterday: got the appropriate halogen torchiere lamp for my demographic from Fred Meyer, brought it home, unpacked much styrofoam and tape. Assembled huge lamp. It didn't work. Read instructions, troubleshot, missed. Store closed. Today: went back to store, got another lamp. Tested it before assembly. Worked. Whew. My room looks much more messy when it is well lit.
Hunger: good or bad?
I don't much like having to sleep or eat, but I look forward to meals and rest. The part I don't like is the lack of choice. I don't like having to schedule giant blocks of time for sleeping, with progressive delirium as the alternative. I don't like having to spend time and money eating, which is sometimes very painful, with fatigue and slow death as the only alternative. Eating itself is pleasurable, as is finally getting rest after a long and tiring day. I can look forward to these things even though I don't really care for them. (?) When you become addicted to a new activity, it's like adding a new item to your list of things to look forward to. Life may be meaningless, oh well, but at least its only 15 minutes to your next smoke break.
