There is a time for shortness! That is now!
"Critical Mass" was today - that's a mass, disorganized bike ride through town that happens on the last Friday
of every month here. It's a learning experience for everyone. Motorists learn that tons of bikers take up a certain amount of
space (which is much less than the same number of motorists) and act a certain way. Cyclists learn that when there are a whole lot
of cyclists on the road you have to give up some of the carefree riding style of biking on your own in traffic.
As population increases, available freedom decreases, as a given amount of space can only support so much freedom x population.
Sure, libertarianism sounds like a lot of fun. Maybe it'd work if there were a lot less people.
Anyhow, I don't have a chain on my bike. I guess I could have driven around with critical mass.. but I think I've had about enough
of being a point-missing dumbass for today. Nite!
