  Warning: Section is Technical
10:18 pm (Friday Night)
I'm preparing for band practice. I want to have 4 songs revised to use the sounds that the 303 makes possible. I haven't finished one yet. I may have to stay up all night. There is a common friend to programmers the world over that I will get help from. All hail caffeine. White lightning gonna make everything all right.

11:37 pm
I'm in the middle of dumping our old drum tracks to Nerve (My happy computer) so I can switch all the old drums to play on channel 11. See, the 303 wants channel 10.
12:12 am (Saturday)
The 303 wants to play EVERYTHING coming in, regardless of channel. It's a feisty little box, I'll give it that. There must be a way to make it ignore certain channels. I'm getting a headache working on this one. How do I make the 660 play one channel and the 303 play all the rest? Please let me not have to buy a MIDI patch bay.
12:55 am
Have decided to let 303 think it is playing channel 10, but giving it a silent instrument to play with. Am currently bulk dumping all 303 data in case I fuck something up big time. Tiny headache, ready for more caffeine.
1:55 am
Just completed food break. Halfway through a bromine-laden 2 liter bottle of Mountain Dew. Still working on first song. We're going to end up sounding like Front Line Assembly or something.
2:53 am
Am 37 seconds into first song. Have 11 hours left to complete task. Thing about songs: parts of them repeat. Once I've put down like 200 seconds, I should be able to fold it into the whole song.
3:26 am
49 seconds. This is starting to sound really neat. If I can finish 12 seconds of song every half an hour, I should just be finishing around time when I should be packing up to go to practice!
3:44 am
58 seconds. I'm on a roll. I wonder if it takes everyone this long to make sequences.
4:00 am
120 seconds. See, it gets easier once you've done a verse and a bridge and a chorus. They just repeat, and you don't have to make up as much new stuff every time around. I hope I get this done in like an hour or so. I really would like to fall asleep today.
4:36 am
180 seconds. I'm gonna maaake it. White lightning come down and turn out the lights. Will I try for the four? No, I'm not going to. Duh.
5:09 am
I'm done. Took a shower. Can't wait to play this song, in 9 hours. Hmm. I have enough time to do another song. Hmm. I think my judgement is probably impaired by my blood being more caffeine than blood right now. I'm going to sleep. If anything interesting happens, I'll say so. Later.
Note to self: Put something interesting here.
--- Nope, nothing interesting happened. No one even said anything of note. I DID get injured during practice, though. You can tell if it was a good set if you're bleeding afterwards.
