Hi Boss

Today, in the middle of the day, my phone rang and it turned out to be my boss and one of my coworkers. They were at my front door and wanted to be 'buzzed' in. Working at home has a few disadvantages, one of which is that you basically have a branch office in your house. Well, they needed to borrow some packets, and I was the closest bandwidth in the area. I buzzed them in and started putting on pants as quick as I could. Sigh.

After that, band practice. Wrote a song. hmm hmm actually, Kris and Brian wrote a song last night, and I came in and modified it a little, put guitars in, wrote a chorus... and wondered what the different parts of the song have to do with each other. Every part in a different key, not really related to the other ones. It sounded like a dream theater song. Catchy, though, within each part.

Tomorrow: Early morning conf call. Blech. More objectionable than the boss showing up without warning because it involves the PHONE. I think it's some residual scarring from being in phone support for an ISP for a year (circa and causing the beginning of this web page). but I still hate the phone. I hate talking on it, I hate answering it, I don't even really like calling people on it. The only thing I like doing with the phone is dialing in to things with a modem. When it becomes possible to order pizza online, I think I will cancel phone service. Heck, I might as well do that now, I think I have a VoIP card for my router.

VoIP always makes me think of soccer balls. Cool thing about soccer balls: black pentagons.

Kris turns 24 in a couple of days. If he had web access he'd now know that he's getting a singing blender for his birthday. But he doesn't, and by the time he finds out, it'll be too late.
